Under the direction of the Vice President of Compensation, supports the Compensation Department with administration and implementation of Under the direction of the Vice President of Total Rewards, support the Compensation and Benefits teams with administration and implementation of compensation and benefits programs. For the compensation team the support will include market pay survey submissions, cross-banner compensation project support and market pricing/job evaluations. For the benefits team the support will include researching employee eligibility in Workday and via vendor reports, validating benefits data and working on enterprise-level benefits projects. Both teams will need support in responding to team member inquiries.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides ongoing compensation and benefits support to line management including communication, training, approvals and related documentation.
• Maintains compensation and benefits administration according to established guidelines for new hires and existing team members.
• Gathers and helps refine data needed for market pay survey submissions
• Research for compensation questions using a market pricing tool
• Research for benefits questions using Workday and vendor tools
• Researches and responds to team member inquires via email.
• Provides administrative support including basic data calculations, scrubbing data, preparing files for payroll and performing routine audit functions.
• Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.
• Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be currently enrolled and pursing a degree in a similar or related field.
• Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Creative problem-solving skills helpful in this position.
• Compassion and drive to help support team members and leaders

Work Environment:

• This is a hybrid opportunity, must be able to come into the Akron, OH office and work remotely.
• Summer Internship (40 hours/12 weeks)

The salary range for this opportunity is $18.00-$19.50/hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
