  • Responsibilities

    About the Role

    As a Copywriting Intern, you will develop and execute strategies to communicate the value of relevant Kohl’s products and services to the right customers as efficiently and profitably as possible.

    What You’ll Do

    ● Assist in the development of Kohl's brand storytelling and promotional experiences for Kohl’s customers

    ● Work collaboratively with cross functional partners to bring Kohl's brands to life

    ● Build a strategy to be impactful for customers and execute media, creative and promotional strategies to align with that strategy

    ● Leverage storytelling and story creation

    ● Translate strategy into creative solutions

    ● Adhere to standard copy practices and Kohl’s brand voice guidelines

    ● Work closely with art directors, designers, strategy and merchant partners to develop compelling content

    ● Attend relevant meetings and present project work at creative reviews with marketing leaders

    ● Edit copy to reflect changes from requests and reviews

    ● Remain up to date on the status of each project and ensure milestones and deadlines are met

    What Skills You Have

    ● Demonstrated copywriting ability

    ● Majoring in English, Journalism, Communications or a related subject

    ● Superior grasp of grammar and style

    ● Strong ideation and communication skills

    ● Self-starter
