Why should you join our team? -Pay rates for Weekend Shift equipment operators at $15.25 -Full Time Benefits including medical, dental, vision -Receive a 30% employee discount on dsw.com and in our stores -9 Paid Holidays and 136 hrs of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year -Team-oriented environment -All OT is voluntary -80% of the leadership team are from internal promotions -On-Site workout facilities -Tuuition Assistance -Steps away from DSWs home office Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Ensures proper carton count when loading/unloading Inbound and or Outbound merchandise -Shuttles, retrieves, and delivers full/empty pallets to designated areas according assigned tasks -Picks and or pulls merchandise from physical DC locations using RF equipment. -Insures there are no broken and/or damaged goods -Operate in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards, promote safety and report all safety violations -Maintains an accurate and required power equipment log. -Will be cross trained in other areas as needed, based on needs of the department, facility and company Required Skills and Competencies: -Must pass written and driving tests for power equipment certification and complete up to 8 hours of equipment training -Excellent hand and eye coordination and communication skills -Frequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, standing for long periods of time and sometimes working in a non-climate controlled environment -Responsible for maintaining productivity and accuracy standards based of department and role. -Comprehends departmental SOPs/working instructions -Ability to work in a fast pace environment, lifting up to 60lbs. Preferred Qualifications: -One year of warehouse and/or forklift/power equipment experience preferred. Education: -High school diploma or equivalent.
