Position Summary:

The purpose of the Digital Rotational Program role is to provide a 12-month rotational experience for entry-level Digital Team Members to prepare them for roles such as data analyst, product analyst and technology specialists. Trainees will rotate through relevant areas like product testing, customer experience analysis, systems analysis and more, learning job duties and receiving hands-on, project based-experiences. Trainees will also experience a variety of opportunities such as on-the-job experience, classroom training, leadership development, networking opportunities and mentorship.

This program is preferred as hybrid in Akron. Remote opportunity with some travel will also be considered.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions :

• Learn the retail industry/B2C industry, especially as it relates to Signet Jewelers, and assist digital teams in all areas they support

• Responsible for leading and developing a Capstone project to be presented to Senior Leadership that demonstrates innovation and showcases key skills learned during the program.

• Work with an assigned Rotational Program Lead & Mentor to deepen business and role knowledge while pursuing professional development through hands-on learning

• Apply skills and knowledge learned through the various rotations to perform the roles of data analyst, product analyst or technology specialists including, but not limited to:

Rotation 1 Data Systems Engineer Rotation

During the Digital Technology Engineer rotation, you will work alongside other Engineers and others to design, develop, and maintain Signet Digital Applications

• Assist in front-end and back-end development tasks, including coding, testing, and debugging.
• Collaborate with multiple technical teams to come up with the best design.
• Work with the PIM, Integrations, and other digital platform teams to build integrations, POCs, utilities etc.
• Build dashboards for environment status & visibility
• Work on cloud technologies & integration projects, including connecting and automating systems, APIs, and databases
• Participate in any AI-related pilot projects, including predictive algorithms, natural language processing or other AI applications.
• Work with business teams to understand requirements, build required dashboards and tools to help productivity
• Work / Analyze real Production issues that are impacting Signet systems / Customers

Rotation 2: Systems Analyst Rotation

During the Systems Analyst rotation, you will play a supporting role to other Systems Analysts, who will be leading requirements gathering and testing activities, on the product teams within Digital Technology.

• Assist Systems Analysts in documenting Systems Requirements
• Assist Systems Analysts and tech team in creating back-end systems diagrams
• Create and update JIRA tickets
• Assist the team in creating the test plan and tracking progress of testing
• Assist the E2E testing team in creating EOD status report emails
• Detailed note taking, especially for action items and follow ups for each meeting

Rotation 3: Project Management Rotation

During the Project Management rotation, you will be responsible for driving scoped projects from inception through release and hypercare. You will learn and implement Project Management rituals and documentation as part of their involvement in the projects.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that everyone’s role within the project is well understood and expectations are clearly set
• Prioritize and manage sprint backlog, and groom/refine user stories
• Define sprint goals at the beginning of each sprint
• Support development, functional, and testing teams in the completion of work and resolution of bugs
• Partner with design to conduct design reviews and with technology to conduct sprint demos
• Setup and manage standardized project management reports, working closely with the project team
• Develop weekly project resource plans and project timelines to match people with the work being delivered

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related fields
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA
• Experienced in cloud and/or programming technologies like Java, REST & SOAP Web Services, XML, XSLT, SQL and database concepts, is a plus
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, ceremonies, and roles, is a plus
• History of success with leadership roles within teams or organizations
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
