COMPANY DESCRIPTION
At Abercrombie & Fitch the Delivery & Site Reliability Engineering team is responsible for the availability and performance of our websites and working with dev teams to ensure seamless releases to production. The primary goal of this position is to support dev teams making them more effective and efficient while ensuring the availability and reliability of our applications, services and websites. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Working cross functionally with dev teams to enhance their ability to deliver changes and monitor their applications
Creating dashboards, monitors and alerts to provide the needed visibility of the performance of our websites & applications
Efficiently and effectively execute needed tasks of the entire life cycle for releases to production and identify ways to improve
Be a point person to triage production incidents, working collaboratively to quickly identify root cause and resolve the issue
Recognize and support various application upgrades
Documenting new/enhanced capabilities or processes to ensure knowledge sharing and alignment across teams
Assist with performance testing by researching issues and finding opportunities to optimize performance
Be an advocate for our customers and the performance of our sites by tracking and following up on opportunities.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
3+ years of proven experience in an SRE, DevOps, and/or Software development role
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an additional 3 years of relevant work experience
A strong desire to seek out ways to improve resiliency and predictability through automation and learning new technologies
Experience with building reliable and effective Jenkins jobs to improve automation
Proven ability of building out effective monitoring and alerting
Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes required
Knowledge of Azure Cloud & WCS/HCL commerce preferred
Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, etc. preferred
Experience with Kafka, Nginx, Prometheus a plus
Be available for on-call responsibilities and bring a calm & organized mindset in production impacting scenarios
An ability to prioritize and balance several opportunities, initiatives and requests
