Job Description

A DAY IN THE LIFE AT TELEFLORA:

• Perform full cycle Accounts Payable including setting up new vendors, reviewing coding and proper authorization of invoices, expense reports and credit memos, entering and matching invoices including product purchase orders, and verifying and reconciling invoices for payment
• Research and resolve any discrepancies with invoice coding and documentation
• Prepare and process recurring invoices for various contractors
• Maintain monthly calendar for all scheduled payment runs
• Perform weekly check runs and ACH payments to vendors
• Perform large monthly check runs and ACH payments to customers according to schedule for clearinghouse, credit cards, quick cash, and rebates, and coordinate third-party pick up and mailing.
• Process monthly commission payments to marketing partners
• Prepare and distribute monthly intercompany billings to affiliates
• Send applicable ACH payment remittances to vendors, partners, and affiliates
• Report reportable income on expense reports for independent contractors
• Assist Accounting Manager with analysis of independent contractor payments and issuance of 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC tax forms
• Manage Bank of America corporate card program including pulling extracts and posting expense reports
• Maintain historical records by scanning and filing documents including vendor invoices, payment reports, and various documentation
• Maintain invoice approvers' list
• Monitor and maintain check stock
• Maintain offsite file storage management
• Provide support to Accounting, Finance, and Credit Card departments as needed
• Assist Accounting team during annual internal audit with KPMG when necessary
• Protect organization's values by keeping information confidential
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

Qualifications

YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO TELEFLORA:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a plus
• Previous accounts payable experience preferred
• Experience with a major ERP system not required but preferred
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Must have accurate and efficient data entry skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to comprehend instructions without difficulty
• Ability to perform under strict deadlines
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high volume, fast paced environment
• Ability to pay close attention to details
• Ability to work independently
• COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
