JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is responsible for assistance within the Indirect Tax function. This includes sales & use tax returns, VAT compliance, business licenses, basic accounting tasks, payment requests and invoice processing. Additionally, working with outside service providers to comply with all local indirect tax reporting requirements, assisting in tax audits and special projects as they pertain to indirect or other relevant taxes. Provide support for other areas of the tax department on an as needed basis. This position reports to the Director - Indirect Tax.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Provide support for other areas of the tax department on an as needed basis.
• Complete business license applications, gather any needed data, officer signatures and notarizations
• Sort daily mail
• Assist in sales & use tax audits
• Coordinate tax payment requests
• Create purchase orders to ensure timely payment of vendor invoices
• Provide backup to domestic and international tax analysts on various accounting and compliance tasks including journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Assist with tax registrations in new jurisdictions

• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
• A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners to achieve the vision of the department and organization
