The Industrial Design Intern will gain real-world experience in industrial design, and the medical product development process. Here is a glimpse of what youll do * Be present at brainstorms, internal project reviews, and client meetings. * Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create client-ready deliverables. * Analyze complex information to discover new design opportunities. * Explore creative solutions, test your ideas, and justify your design decisions.

    • Communicate clearly, both visually and verbally. Here is some of what youll need * Internship candidates must be enrolled in a four-year accredited university, and currently be in their junior or senior year.
    • You are a problem solver who focuses on the details, but doesnt lose sight of the big picture. * You show a deep understanding and appreciation for good process in your portfolio. * You have strong sketching and form development skills. * You have a working knowledge of 2D software programs vital to the design process. * Fluency in 3D surfacing is welcome, but not required. * Model-making skills are a plus (foam core, foam, rapid prototyping, etc.) Here is a glimpse of what youll experience * Be present at brainstorms, internal project reviews, and client meetings. * 3 month availability during the Summer (May - August 2018) * Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create client-ready deliverables. * Analyze complex information to discover new design opportunities. * Explore creative solutions, test your ideas, and justify your design decisions. * Communicate clearly, both visually and verbally. Farm is located an hour north of Boston in scenic Hollis, New Hampshire. Our unique facilities consist of a modern development center and a business center located in a restored circa 1740s colonial farm house. The open workspaces are set up to encourage collaboration between our engineers, industrial designers, and researchers. Our two shops provide workspace for machining, assembly, testing, and model-making. Farms dynamic setting aligns with our small company culture, making it a great place to work.
