JOB SUMMARY FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:
Zero emissions machines require frequent charging throughout their lifecycle, like fueling your car. This work group’s products provide the energy required for our product to perform their duties.
The workgroup consists of mechanical design engineers, electrical design engineers, validation engineers and technical leaders responsible for the development of power conversion systems (chargers) for the zero emissions product offerings.
This position will be responsible for the electrical development of the various charger (onboard and offboard) products that will be utilized throughout the industry.
Very collaborative with project leads, technical leads, and mechanical engineers on product design, aligning on project scope and deliverables for next sprint
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:
attending technical review meetings, supporting electrical requirements definition
developing product electrical architecture for charger portfolio
collaborating with industry suppliers for product selection that meets program requirements
designing and creating charger electrical schematics & circuitry
creating 3D models of charger electrical systems
verifying the validity of designs through test
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:
Prior experience in the development of onboard/offboard chargers and power electronics
Experience with circuit and system simulation and analysis tools
Previous product development experience with design or analysis of complex electrical systems
B.S. in Electrical Engineering
5-7 years relevant engineering work experience
3-5 years’ experience with onboard or offboard charger development
