Summary: Prepare for promotion to Relief Assistant by learning about the
company, products and policies while working in a store environment.
Complete all assignments within designated time limits and develop
supervisory skills. Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform
all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state
and federal laws. Demonstrate the Companys core values of respect,
honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. Essential Job
Functions: * Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver /encourage associates
to deliver excellent customer service. * Complete work functions on
sales floor. * Complete assigned daily duties and tours from others
(i.e. training manager, leadership development/MD1 manager). * Complete
training assignments and classes. * Comply with all corporate policies.
- Promote and follow company initiatives. * Comply with all safety
guidelines and standards. * Complete weekly progress reports. * Travel
to other stores within the district for training. * Maintain flexibility
to work any shift and overtime. * Must be able to perform the essential
functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position Qualifications: * High school diploma or general
education degree (GED) plus three years retail experience; or
combination of relevant education and experience. * Minimum 18 years of
age; 21 years of age in Alaska * Ability to pass drug test *
Accuracy/attention to detail * Ability to organize/prioritize
tasks/projects * Familiarity with industry/technical terms/processes *
Ability to continue education * Valid drivers license * Any licenses or
certificates required by federal and/or state Desired Previous Job
Experience: * Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and
organizational structure * Experience directing/participating on project
teams * Proficient with using company email and report management and
