    Job Description

    The Media Planning Specialist is responsible for the execution and reporting of all paid media related to GNC brand and promotional campaigns. The position will also act as the marketing liaison for special interest departments within GNC and work alongside all day-to-day agency relationship needs regarding media and advertising.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work with Media Manager and external media agency teams to build impactful and measurable media campaigns around business needs
    • Oversee execution of Digital media as it relates to the channel process including work order inputs and deliverables
    • Spearhead weekly reporting, insights and optimizations working alongside the Media Manager
    • Prepare campaign recaps and post reporting analysis
    • Coordinate data collection of all media deliverables to marketing mix modeling company
    • Partner with Marketing Operations team to ensure review, routing and approval process is maintained
    • Responsible for QA-ing entire creative asset process and release of in-house and external creative to agencies
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CRM, Customer Marketing, GNC.com, Operations, Legal, etc. to ensure campaigns are implemented properly, on schedule and elevating issues
    • Collect and call out all relevant media inputs into campaign/project work order
    • Assist with media planning needs for partner businesses including GNC Canada, Military, Franchise, International and Co-Op Vendor campaigns
    • Manage and maintain all ad databases, documents, and archives as it relates to final advertising creative and media placements
    • Maintain database of contacts and information sources for all vendor relationships as it relates to trafficking advertising
    • Attend scheduled production meetings and agency partner status calls
    • Overall team day-to-day team support as assigned
    • Additional duties as assigned

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
    • 2+ years of paid media experience planning and executing social and programmatic required
    • Experience in upper funnel digital execution preferred
    • Experience determining ROI and measuring the success of all projects
    • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
    • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
    • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
    • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
    • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
    • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

    Additional Information

    Base Salary: $55,00.00 to $65,000.00

    The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range. The actual base salary offered for this position depends on several factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our base salary is one component of GNC’s competitive total rewards strategy.
