    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Project Manager – International Packaging will provide support to the overall product development process, with a focus on supporting the creative and production teams developing labels. The Project Manager will work cross functionally to create, maintain and document packaging plans. The position will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the label review process, from initial project planning to final label approval. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.

    Job Expectations:

    • Lead and meet goals of packaging projects and initiatives with varying degrees of size and scope.
    • Manage the end-to-end project management process as it relates to developing packaging
      • Scope of project
      • Create a plan to delivery and evaluate
      • Develop and own packaging project methodology, control standards and procedures, and deploy with other teams as appropriate
      • Maintain project documentation, calendars and project plans
      • Identify risks and develop actionable plan to mitigate the risk.
    • Routing / Approval Process:
      • Oversee assembly of label files, routing and approval processes which include proper sequencing for review, resolving conflict on feedback, clarifying ambiguous or incomplete information.
      • Hold individuals/teams accountable for deliverable dates through process and
      • Organize, manage, and deliver packaging files on time; ensure team receives all appropriate signoffs utilizing electronic systems.
    • Collaborate with the business and end-users to manage change and ensure communication paths are clearly defined and executed
    • Partner with Product Development, Brand, and Science to gather, define and refine requirements and solutions
    • Lead and project manage graphic design/ packaging production efforts while collaborating with Creative Team for execution of the design vision including color build/selection, material selection, and printing/packaging partner selection.
    • Lead and project manage cross-functional content discussions and label file assembly through collaboration with the Brand Management, Brand Creative, Product Design, Product Development and Content Teams to ensure timely and accurate development of label files (marketing copy, claims, directions for use, supplement/nutrition panels, creative design aspects, label templates and production files).
    • Understand general compliance requirements for FDA and regulatory guidelines for labeling and works with legal and quality as needed.
    • Own and operate the project management system. (WorkFront)
    • Prioritize packaging requests in line with business priorities and strategic objectives
    • Review processes and identify, create and update processes to enable efficiencies
      • Recommend simplification and integration points for upcoming marketing projects
      • Conduct post project analysis and identify best practices and opportunities for improvement

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
    • 5+ years progressive Marketing Project Management experience required
    • Experience in Workfront or equivalent Project Management/Trafficking Tool, Flash, HTML, and preferred
    • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
    • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
    • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
    • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, a well as, internal and external clients
    • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
    • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
