Job Description
#TeamGNC is looking for a dynamic content creator to join our social team as Social Media Content Specialist! In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and editing thumb-stopping short-form social video content (think TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) for GNC’s brand handles. The Content Specialist should live and breathe all things social, have a constant pulse of what’s trending, and a passion for storytelling in relevant ways through content creation. This role reports to the Manager, Social Content & Engagement and will work closely with Social Media Engagement Specialist (for trend-based/relevant content creation and engagement opportunities).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for ideating, creating and executing engaging/relevant short-form video content for GNC brand handles across TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts (and other emerging platforms, as needed).
- Bring creative, out-of-the-box, engaging content ideas
- Ability to shoot and edit and publish social video content; including natively within TikTok/Instagram/YouTube platforms
- Comfortable in front of the camera (social media personality) and working with others for video shoots
- Work cross-discipline with creative team and studio team, as needed
- Manage review workflow with various team members, as needed
- Enhance GNC brand visibility in an AUTHENTIC and RELEVANT way through content creation
- Proactively identify emerging trends (trending sounds, content trends, etc.) and activate quickly in a way that is relevant, but also is authentic to the GNC brand
- Work closely with Social Engagement Specialist for trending engagement and content opportunities
- Work closely with cross-discipline teams to ideate and execute short-form content for key campaigns, launches and initiatives.
- Support Manager, Social Content & Engagement with planning and managing content calendar (planned content)
- Manage content calendar on day-to-day basis to work in real-time/trend-based content on a daily basis (proactive content)
- Monitor and engage with third-party brands, third-party influencers/athletes and third-party brand fans when appropriate
- Trend and social listening monitoring and analysis to find trends, opportunities or engagement moments
- Coordinate with cross-discipline teams for social content supporting GNC in-store events, influencer events, PR/Media sponsorships, etc.
- Work closely with Manager, Social & Engagement to manage reporting and provide/act on optimizations
Competitive Candidates will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in creating content on TikTok, Reels or YouTube Shorts either for a brand or personal channel
- Outstanding knowledge of social trends, cultural trends and social platforms
- Ability to be a quick thinker and ability to translate social trends in a way that works for brand storytelling
- Ability to be authentic and humorous
- Meme-creating abilities is a plus!
