    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    Great Dane is seeking an individual that will work directly with the Director of Business Development on: (i) M&A and vertical integration opportunities, (ii) strategic partnerships, (iii) oversight of existing joint ventures, and (iv) Great Dane’s IoT/telematics platform (“FleetPulse”), among others. The position will be based out of our headquarters in Chicago, IL. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Consolidate and synthesize information into cohesive and understandable presentations for use in decision-making by executive team
    • Conduct detailed analyses on products, markets, competitors, suppliers, and customers to identify both potential risks and growth opportunities
    • Utilize business intelligence software (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) to develop analytical reports
    • Develop detailed valuation and financial models
    • Use analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities to help set strategy
    • Create/maintain monthly status reports on the company/market for C-level executives
    • Provide analytical and project support for a variety of strategy initiatives across various departments including finance, manufacturing, purchasing, etc.
    • Ad hoc analytical assignments

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Highly organized individual with attention to detail and ability to think critically to develop new ideas and solutions
    • Experience with PowerBI, Tableau or equivalent visualization tools
    • Ability to synthesize unorganized data into meaningful conclusions and recommendations
    • Aptitude to link strategy to qualitative and quantitative analysis with limited guidance
    • Capacity to manage and prioritize competing tasks concurrently
    • Strong communication skills to present ideas, data, and build stakeholder relationships
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity given access to sensitive data
    • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint experience
    • Ability to travel as required

     

    EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field (finance, economics, accounting, etc.)
    • 2+ years of experience in an analytical role
    •  Consulting or investment banking experience a plus
