Duties may include but not limited to.
Be able to wear all required PPE that is required by Great Dane/
Providing professional nursing services and perform various duties to provide quality care to each employee.
Wellness assessments to insure employees are safe to work.
Confident to provide emergency care and treatment for an occupational injury.
Maintain a standard of care by maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment. Establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Successful completion of an accredited educational program for medical assisting or Nursing assistant with certification.
First aid/CPR/AED certified.
Strong customer service skills with a high level of professionalism.
Good written and verbal communication skill.
Able to secure employee information and maintains employee confidence – Protects rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information per HIPPA regulations.
• Able to maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Assessments involve checking an employee’s vital signs, performing a physical exam and obtaining medical history. Vital signs include blood pressure, pulse, breathing rate and temperature.
The physical exam involves measuring height and weight, as well as looking for deformities or irregularities on the body.
Able to obtain a medical history by asking employees questions about their medical conditions, medications and allergies.
Clerical duties such as filing and answering phones and scheduling appointments.
Greet an employee when entering and obtain their information for an injury report and collect any valuable information that may be needed.
Compiles employee charts and files appropriately. Keep the office organized.
Employee charts are constantly changing with new information being added. Help in the responsibility of assuring employee files are complete and intact. Place pertinent information like test results, patient history and medication list at the front.
Able to Keep an organized calendar and work area is beneficial.
Clean and maintain instruments (sterilizing) and medical equipment after use.
Assist nurse with audio education and testing to meet OSHA requirements for hearing conservation program, drug screens and BAC if needed.
Assist the nurse in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders through proper guidelines set by Great Dane for materials as needed.
Assist the nurse in maintaining the medical supply cabinet for employees to purchase OTC (over the counter) medications.
Assist with overseeing the medical Bio-Hazardous waste/sharps container, packaging bio-hazard waste for proper pick up.
Assist with any reports that Safety request.
Assist with record keeping of annual testing.
Assist in AED checks.
Being a good listener is an essential attribute, especially when multitasking. You will need to be very organized and efficient, as you will be required to deal with a lot of information and at times several employees at once, being able to prioritize your responsibilities. Dealing with employees in person should take priority over working on pending tasks.
In addition, you must be able to think quickly, pay attention to detail and work calmly under pressure.
Qualifications
CMA or CNA
Successful completion of an accredited educational program for medical assisting or Nursing assistant with certification.
First aid/CPR/AED certified.

Pay Rate $12 per hour
