Job Description The MRO Buyer/Analyst is responsible for identifying, procuring, ordering and expediting MRO (maintenance, repair, operations services and items) purchases. This person will develop reports, cycle counts, chart MRO performance, and develop inventory control measures to balance inventory levels with consumption rates. Qualifications Key Responsibilities: Follow procedure for processing requisitions for tools, consumables, manufacturing supplies, spare parts, safety equipment, office supplies and other items for operational needs. Procure quality, cost effective products and services from reliable companies by ordering, expediting and managing/analyzing inventory levels to meet or exceed production goals. Monitor the cost and quality of subcontracted services including security, cleaning, vending, lawn care and snow removal services. Document and update work orders and create MRO Performance metrics/charts, spreadsheets and Power Point presentations. The ideal candidates will be highly motivated and have excellent analytical and organizational skills with an attention to detail. Must be proficient with a computer. Computer skills desired include: MRP, ERP, data base, document writing, email and Microsoft Office Suite - particularly MS Excel including ability to create charts, formulas, tables and basic analytics. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required. Preference to college degree with two years completed coursework or 3+ years experience in procurement or equivalent combination of education and training. This position involves approx. 20% presence on the shop floor and 80% office environment. This salaried exempt position reports directly to the Facilities Manager.
