About the Internship * During the internship candidates will work alongside Griffins Engineering staff in which they will receive firsthand lessons in the dewatering business including the following: * Dewatering systems * Installation and removal processes * Troubleshooting * Client relations * Project paperwork Internship Requirements * Candidates must be enrolled in a college degree program and in their junior or senior year by the start of the summer internship program. * Undergraduate candidates must be working toward a 2-year or 4-year degree. * Candidates must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale. * An interest in construction, dewatering, water treatment, environmental science, geology or hydrogeology. * Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or environmental science. Job Requirements * Must have a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record. * Must have the ability to read, write and speak in English. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. * Must successfully pass a pre-placement drug screen and satisfactory background check. Physical Demands * This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
