Job Description
The Fashion PR Manager is responsible for driving fashion publicity for H&M in the U.S market. This role will be tasked with positioning H&M as a relevant and aspirational brand through top-tier press and influencer coverage.
This position supports the Fashion PR and Influencer Manager, partnering closely with the U.S. cross-functional commercial teams and the HQ team in Sweden to adapt global fashion projects to ensure relevance in the U.S. This role will be responsible for cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive storytelling around key launches and campaigns and complement corporate communications efforts to elevate sustainability and social impact programs.
The Fashion PR Manager stays on the pulse of relevant industry and cultural conversations and ideates creative ways to elevate brand perception in the U.S. This position supports the fashion team in the development and execution of key initiatives including brand collaborations and partnerships, press strategy, influencer management, and events. The Fashion PR Manager must possess a strategic mindset and a deep understanding of how their work impacts the company’s business goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Drives fashion publicity for H&M in the U.S. market, executing holistic media strategies across print, digital, broadcast, and non-traditional communications channels
· Possesses a strong media network and maintains relationships with journalists and influencers to understand evolving media landscape, to create relevant pitch angles and secure impactful coverage
· Adapts H&M’s global fashion calendar to ensure local relevance and ideates new ways to generate exposure and excitement around the brand
· Fosters strong collaborative relationships with local cross-functional teams to identify short-term and long-term actions to support H&M’s commercial offering
· Supports the Fashion Communications and Collaborations Manager and the Fashion PR and Influencer Manager by proactively seeking new opportunities for external partnerships and event opportunities to amplify H&M’s fashion offering and expose the H&M brand to strategic audiences
· Drafts and edits press materials including press releases, messaging documents and pitches
· Responsible for data and analytics and reporting, possessing a firm understanding of how media and influencer coverage can drive impact for the brand and business
· Manages and liaises with external agencies, consultants and partners
