    Job Description

    OVERALL JOB SUMMARY: The Country Learning and Development Manager plans, develops, and oversees all learning and development programs and processes in the US sales organization and support office functions. You will design, lead, and execute initiatives that build capability, including continuous skill development to help enable us to drive business growth and transformation and help to create exceptional colleague and customer experiences.

    As the L&D leader for the US Sales Market, you are responsible for creating and implementing leadership development initiatives for all internal stakeholders. You will partner with our Region Americas and Global Learning and Development teams on various initiatives, including a future Learning Experience Platform, with a focus on providing a digital learning strategy throughout the organization. Additionally, you will support and cultivate our I&D strategy through additional learning opportunities for all colleagues. Overall, you will assess the current and future competence and development needs of the organization and leverage analytics and business acumen to influence the L&D portion of our growth strategy.

    This position is based in New York, NY within our HR Function, and reports to our Country HR Manager with a dotted line to the Regional Learning & Development Manager and has the Learning & Development Specialist as a direct report. Travel is required 20%-25% of the time.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO*:

    • Builds a sustainable learning and development strategy for the US portfolio that enables colleagues to unlock their growth potential and achieve success at H&M
    • Monitors the performance of workforce groups and proactively identifies development solutions in partnership with the Talent team
    • Maintains strategic oversight of our performance management process
    • Regularly makes recommendations for skill enhancements for the organization by seeking out learning opportunities that would assist in exceeding business goals
    • Creates sustainable implementations and rollout plans of global and country-specific trainings and workshops to the US organization.
    • Deliver relevant, readily available content to all internal stakeholder groups (Sales Advisors, Store Managers, Area Leaders, and Support Office colleagues), and assist in adapting material to local context and business needs as needed
    • Coach and support HR business leaders and Country Management team to effectively understand the development needs and opportunities within their teams
    • Partner with the Region Americas team regarding global training initiatives and partners with other country L&D leaders to assess best practices
    • Serve as a local content creator within our Learning Experience Platform (LXP)
    • Acts as an advocate to assist in the implementation of Inclusion & Diversity training initiatives
    • Oversees budgeting of L&D costs for systems, processes, and programs
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR or other business related field or equivalent work experience
    • 6+ years of strategic L&D experience, preferably some within retail
    • 6+ years working in a leadership capacity
    • A track record of successfully leading the development of learning programs in field and corporate environments
    • Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying learning programs on a national or international scale
    • Ability to multi-task and manage time well
    • Thrives on working in a fast-paced, complex environment
    • Organizational agility to get things done both through formal and informal collaboration
    • Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively operate in a culturally diverse environment across a variety of levels with cultural sensitivity
    • High degree of integrity and confidentiality with a keen sense of business acumen
    • Ability to work under high pressure and prioritize a heavy workload with multiple deadlines
    • Ability to work autonomously and with flexibility
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated excellence in design, development and delivery of learning and development content

    COMPENSATION: Hiring Range is $123,355 - $141,862 annually**
