Job Description
The North America Content Marketing Manager will contribute to added customer value, a strong brand, and increased sales by securing creation and distribution of customer-facing content in all channels. The role will work towards aligned and cross-functional goals, driving omni sales performance and customer-centricity. The role will secure that all communication is developed according to brand guidelines and that intent and creative direction are fully captured in the implementation.
This position is based in New York, within our Customer Activation & Marketing function, and reports to our North America CX Operations Manager and has the following direct reports: Digital Coordinator, Content Production Lead, and Copywriter & Content Editor.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
Content Planning
Understand local customer needs and translate into content in line with brand identity; collaborate closely with E-Commerce, Media, and Fashion PR teams
Manage local daily customer communications plan and oversee projects from start to end
Serve as the local owner of global channel strategy, brand identity, tone of voice, playbooks, formats, and templates, rolling out updates and securing that guidelines meet the market needs
Strengthen and protect H&M as a brand by ensuring that H&M brand guidelines and policies are met in all content creation
Closely collaborate with Media Leads, US and CA media agencies, and Global M&C Agency teams to secure full understanding and implementation of campaigns across Paid and Owned channels
Content Coordination – Website, Stores, and Paid & Owned Channels
Oversee coordination of assets requirements for site as well as paid and owned channels to all relevant stakeholders including media agencies, Regional Production hub, and Digital Coordinators
Secure solid understanding of the global store communications strategy, guidelines, and placements for printed material and digital screens
Collect input and feedback from stores and Visual teams around in-store communications material and asset allocation and share with relevant stakeholders
Customer Targeting
Share content insights and learnings with local, regional, and global teams in quarterly Creative reviews
Ensure strong understanding of all customer segments to determine how content should be crafted in most relevant way
Leverage customer insights and data to secure that content creation aligns to key customer, brand, and sales goals
Ensure best in-class planning and execution across quarterly customer plans
Lead Your Team
Create conditions to enable strong performance of team and individuals
Identify and develop talents in order to build organization and diverse team
Strengthen team and foster collaboration
Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, or Production Management
5+ years of experience in operations or content production within fashion retail
Experience in production planning for multiple channels
Deep understanding of marketing content and digital channels
Competence within digital/tech and omni ways of working preferred
Formal leadership experience preferred
Experience coordinating with many stakeholders and teams
Deep understanding of brand guidelines and how to turn brand direction and global content into locally relevant messages
Self-driven with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
Skills in managing people, projects, and resources
Insights-driven with a good ability to analyze data and translate into actions
Deep understanding of formats and assets for paid media (TV, OOH, OLV, Display, Social, Print) and of printed formats and communication used in stores
Deep understanding of local media landscape and how media agencies operate
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Up to 15% international travel required
