Job Description
As a Payroll Specialist, you are responsible for timely and accurate end to end payroll processes for our US Sales Market field teams in accordance with the company’s established processing guidelines and provide excellent customer service.
This hybrid position is based in Secaucus, NJ Office within our Payroll Department/Finance and reports to our Senior Payroll Lead.
Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to*:
Verifies payroll hours from time and attendance program to ensure non-exempt and exempt colleagues are being paid correctly, including unapproved, adjusted hours, and any Paid Time Off hours.
Reviews all personal and employment changes from People Data are reflected in payroll system, including but not limited to new hire, promotion, demotion, transfer, termination, address change, name change, and tax jurisdiction change.
Process weekly/biweekly payroll for the assigned area, ensuring correct hours and pay amounts, by reconciliating information from People Data and Time & Attendance system, calculating any retro payments, auditing reports generated in other systems and ADP, transmitting to ADP on timely manner and managing the delivery of payments to colleagues.
Process out of sequence payroll payments, such as bonus, last pay (as mandated by state regulations), etc.
Work with garnishment vendor (currently ADP) to ensure all wage withholding orders are properly entered in ADP and monies are withheld from pays.
Provides support to the stores regarding payroll questions and work closely with area/sales market teams to resolve any pay issues.
Assists in any special project as directed.
Qualifications
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
1-2 years of multi state payroll processing experience in retail, experience processing payroll in CA and/or PR highly preferred
Basic knowledge of payroll taxation
Payroll experience with ADP Vantage
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to deal with fast-paced environment and to multitask
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
Excellent communication and customer skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Hiring Range is $24.72 - $27.50 Hourly**
