Job Description
As the Regional Business Controller in the Customer Activation and Marketing function, you contribute to added customer value, a strong brand, and increased sales by managing the goal setting, follow up, and KPIs of the customer base, customer experience, brand health, and media investments for the region. You help drive the budget process and FUP of all media, PR, and visual costs as related to results and outcomes achieved. You work towards aligned and cross functional goals, driving omni sales performance and customer centricity.
This hybrid role reports into our Regional Head of Customer Activation and Marketing and is based out of New York, NY.
A Day in the Life
Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*
Drive the customer activation goal-setting process by securing clear and measurable targets and KPIs related to customer base and customer experience development, loyalty program engagement, brand health, media ROI, and traffic. Ensure alignment of customer goals and advertising strategy with financial goals
Coordinate and support budgeting process for all Advertising costs, including media, PR, visual, and content production, ensuring that allocation of investments across departments supports business priorities and impact
Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual FUP on spend, performance to budget, and ROI
Coordinate with Regional Media Manager, Regional PR & Comms Manager, and Media & Brand Insights Analyst to assess costs and performance of brand campaigns, commercial activations, and events
Coordinate with Regional Media Manager and Insights & Analytics team to follow up on development of customer base, customer experience, and brand health, with focus on tying KPIs together to derive holistic takeaways
Develop business cases, as needed, to support with global prioritization of investments and enable data-driven decisions
Support regional procurement processes for agency or vendor partnerships and contracts. Follow up with vendors on cost control and invoice handling
Support Head of Customer Activation & Marketing on ad hoc business analyses
Ability to travel internationally up to 15% of the time
Qualifications
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, or equivalent
8 years of experience in Finance, Controlling, Marketing, Media, or Consulting
Experience guiding and influencing teams as formal or informal leader
Experience controlling and following up on goals, KPIs, and budgets
Understanding of retail KPIs from a customer, sales, and/or media perspective
Competence within digital/tech and omni ways of working preferred
High analytical ability
Structured, organized, and efficient
Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey budgets and reports to stakeholders across various teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Compensation: salary range is $145,954-$167,851 annually**
