    Job Description

    OVERALL JOB SUMMARY: An Inventory Optimization Specialist (Omni) will contribute to maximizing selling, profit, and customer experience by having the right garments in the right location at the right time to meet customer demand.  The role will maintain total overview, forecast, and prioritization of garment flow, and strategically steer stock to our different warehouses and channels based on current and projected selling patterns.  The role will work cross-functionally, both strategically and operationally, to enable a fast, flexible, and effective country supply chain today and in the future.

     

    This position is based in New York, NY within our Merchandising Function, and reports to our Inventory Optimization Manager.

     

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:

    Pre-allocation Garment Steering

    Evaluate and steer garment flow between warehouses and channels based on latest demand forecasts

    ·       Partner with Supply Chain Merchandising Manager and Concept Omnichannel Merchandise Manager to set overall omni strategy and way of working for pre-allocation garment flow flexibility to warehouses

    ·       Initiate pre-allocation moves when needed

    Location Supply Optimization

    Based on current demand/supply patterns, re-steer garment flow to constantly optimize availability and cost

    ·       Support in optimizing omni garment flow and capability strategies to optimize sale and profit

    ·       Identify potential and execute moves to balance stock between distribution centers/channels

    ·       Support Omni Merchandise Managers with strategy and technical analysis to enable best possible commercial decisions accounting for supply situation

    ·       Monitor omni location oversupply risks, and identify ongoing and upcoming issues together with Merchandise Managers, and take appropriate actions

    ·       Understand customer behavior and seasonal impact on demand and act accordingly

    Demand and Garment Flow Forecasting

    Keep total overview, forecast, and prioritization of garment flow, inbound, outbound based selling trends, commercial actions, and supply optimization to secure log capacity in the best way

    ·       Partner with Supply Chain Merchandise Manager and Concept Omnichannel Merchandise Manager to support in setting garment flow strategy for short/mid-term omni demand and garment flow forecasting and execute actions

    ·       Support the Omni Merchandise Manager to get an overview of country demand and garment flow forecasting and set priorities based on total business results

    ·       Inbound flow planning and monitoring with omni and e-Com specialists and logistics

    ·       Support the Omni Merchandise Manager to set clear strategies for prioritization of garment flows to relevant stakeholders

    ·       Support the Omni Merchandise Manager in the collaboration within demand & supply unit to forecast long term garment flow on location level and technical potential driving total long-term plan

     

    Omni Strategy Development and Supply Chain Initiatives

    Bring findings from the US to the regional supply chain agenda and roll out new ways of working for new development initiatives in region

    ·       Responsible to support the e-Com and omni counterparts, accountable for omni strategies and targets and driving total omni strategy development

    ·       Support in developing the local supply chain agenda and initiatives as a business expert

    ·       Roll out way of working of new initiatives in the country, in collaboration with regional support team

     

    ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    ·       Responsible for assigned concept sales in both channels and maximizing profitability through accurate allocation

     

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Economics/Finance
    • 1-3 years’ experience in Merchandising, Business Controlling, Area Controlling, Demand & Supply Planning, or similar
    • Experience in analytical or logistical role a plus
    • Deep understanding in allocation, inventory optimization, logistics operation, and store operation
    • Deep understanding of e-Com sales and operations and cross channel flows
    • Broad understanding of buying, commercial planning stock management strategies and actions
    • Strong analytical skills
    • High level of salesmanship
    • Ability to work at a high level with Microsoft Excel
    • Programming skills a plus
    • Structured way of working
    • Collaborative personality and good communication skills
    • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
