    Job Description

    As a Benefits Administrator in the HR function, your focus will be the administration, coordination, and communication of employee benefits programs for USA and Canada, including Puerto Rico. This role involves managing various aspects of employee benefits, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and providing exceptional support to employees regarding their benefits inquiries and needs.

    This hybrid role reports into our Total Rewards Operations Lead and is based out of the New Jersey Support Office.

    A Day in the Life

    Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*

    • Oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental and vision plans, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits

    • Ensure benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations processes are handled accurately, and in a timely manner

    • Ensure the accurate transmittal of benefits data between internal systems and external vendors, and research and resolve technical issues

    • Stay informed about federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to employee benefits and ensure benefits programs are in compliance with legal requirements and company policies

    • Develop and distribute clear and concise communications related to benefits policies, enrollment periods, and changes

    • Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new colleagues and provide ongoing education to existing colleagues

    • Act as the main point of contact for colleague inquiries related to benefits, claims, and coverage issues and collaborate with benefits providers to resolve discrepancies and facilitate timely issue resolution

    • Participate in the planning and execution of annual open enrollment activities, including communication campaigns, system updates, and coordinate with vendors to ensure a smooth and efficient open enrollment process

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefits records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and generate regular reports on benefits utilization, costs, and other relevant metrics for management and compliance purposes

    • Support the development and coordination of employee wellness programs and initiatives and monitor and analyze the effectiveness of wellness programs and recommend improvements

    • Oversees monthly invoice reconciliation and payments – generating all benefit reports for invoicing, processing all invoice system entries, invoice filing and benefits expense tracking

    • Up to 5% domestic travel may be required

    Who You Are:

    • Experience in benefits administration or a related HR role preferred

    • Understanding of employee benefits regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices

    • Enthusiastic, curious and driven to learn

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

    • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications

    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

    Compensation: salary range is $66,793 - $75,142 annually**
