Job Description
The Employee & Labor Relations (ELR) Coordinator is responsible for all administrative employee and labor relations activities for the U.S. market. The role will provide regular business insights reporting based on ER trends and predictive measures. The role will assist with overall internal and legal case management, along with project planning for various ELR related projects and initiatives.
This position is based in Secaucus, NJ within our Human Resources function, and reports to our Country Employee Relations Manager.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Partner with Country ER Manager, Labor Relations team, and ER Specialist team to maintain consistent ELR reporting practices and documentation
- Update and maintain a cohesive record of ELR activities and oversee the effective delivery of updates in HR policy and procedure
- Assist in communicating any changes in company policy or state or federal laws to Store, Area, and Sales Market teams
- Provide timely administrative support on all unemployment claims received by the Company
- Monitor and respond to unemployment insurance cases in consultation with the ER/LR Specialists
- Provide project management support for ELR related projects, establishing key timelines, deliverables, and ensuring accountability with project participants
- Assist with planning and executing ER meetings including team and field-based trainings
- Ensure that stores are utilizing termination and exit tools to complete terminations in a timely manner and in accordance with H&M policy
- Monitor requests for, collect, and respond with relevant information related to employment related subpoenas and other legal matters in partnership with Country ER Manager and ER Specialist team
- Obtain and provide all necessary employment and demographic information to the union for contractual reporting purposes
- Track and maintain a record of grievance filings and outcomes
- Collect, prepare, and quality check documentation for all grievances and arbitrations
- Maintain a record of manager trainings and a schedule for new manager ELR trainings
- Research Worker’s Compensation cases for termination/FMLA/ADA concerns
- Assist with tracking and administration of ER related invoices and budgeting matters
- Complete regulatory employment surveys, including EEO and other demographical information gathering for reporting purposes
- Support in the development, planning, and execution of Company engagement initiatives, including pulse surveys, key focus groups, and other related projects
- Provide case support to ER Specialists during peak business trends and volume increases
