Associate Team Leader - Warehouse - San Antonio, San Marcos, Houston, Temple Facilities Program Overview The Associate Team Leader (ATL) program is Six month leadershipdevelopment program which has been developed for newly promoted or hiredAssociate Team Leaders in the Manufacturing, Warehouse and Transportationdivisions. The program is designed to: Give a broad exposure to multiple areasof the business Build your Business/Technical Skills Enhance your Leadership Skills Prepare ATLs for the Team Leader Role During the program you will be assigned aDedicated Trainer who will coordinate your training activities and provide youcoaching and feedback. Along with the Dedicated Trainer you will have handson learning experiences, get exposure to multiple areas of the business,and attend leadership classes. Upon successful completion of the program, ATLsare promoted into a Team Leader role. ** ** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PROCESS RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned as necessary) Majority of the time spent using independent judgment in making employment- related and business decisions, or effectively recommend such decisions including but not limited to product and department related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding or otherwise engage in resolving Partner-related matters Partner Relations * Develops and demonstrates basic technical knowledge relating to positive partner relations, coaching and partner development skills. * Under direct supervision and guidance, provides performance feedback to partners. * Under the guidance of higher leadership levels, provides direct assistance in resolving partner issues and concerns. * Fosters, promotes, and ensures compliance with facility safety requirements. * Ensures that area of responsibility is in compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, guidelines, and governance. * Participates in creation and execution of communication plan to share tactical and strategic plans and initiatives with Partners Customer Service & Support * Assists in the development of Partner work schedules that business needs are met. * Works with partners to ensure understanding and commitment of daily business goals. * Develops thorough understanding of and monitors and adjusts product flow processes to ensure targeted receiving and shipping schedules are achieved. * Researches and responds to customer inquiries and makes necessary corrections. Expense Control * Develops an understanding of and monitors productivity and throughput against goals and takes appropriate action to meet goals. * Monitors daily work volume and suggest appropriate balance of staffing levels and overtime. * Works with leadership team and partners to develop a thorough understanding or causes of equipment damage and works with all partners to reduce damage and increase equipment life. **Warehouse Conditions & Sanitation ** * Maintains a clean, safe, well organized, and pest free warehouse. Identifies, addresses, and resolves sanitation and safety issues. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION PREFERRED * Bachelors Degree or 1-3 years related experience * Fundamental working knowledge and compliance: industry, OSHA, EEOC, and Employment Laws * Multi-tasking and attention to detail skills required * Intermediate written and verbal communication skills; experience with presentation a plus * Basic skills in analysis and influence of people and process. * Demonstrated proficiency with operating internal and external software systems at a basic level. * Attendance and completion of Leadership & Development Classes as assigned * Working knowledge of department level reports as assigned * Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
