HallmarksData Scientistperform data analyses to derive insight, patterns and correlations from Hallmark's big data that includes vast amounts of consumer data, store data, product sales data, and other relevant data. You will develop predictive and prescriptive algorithms and conduct data analyses to drive business growth and impact strategic business decisions. You will work in a team environment alongside a group of expert mathematicians, statisticians and data scientists. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS -Bachelors or Masters degree in Statistics, Physics, Math, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research or a quantitative field -3+ years of experience in advanced analytics, data science and statistical modeling (including predictive algorithms, machine learning, sequential/time-series, deep learning, forecasting, experimentation, and NLP) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -Master's or PhD in Statistics, Physics, Math, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or Operations Research -3+ years of business experience in data mining, advanced analytics, and statistical modeling -Experience deriving insight and working with Big Data structured and unstructured -Demonstrated ability to derive explanatory variables from high-dimensionality collections of data: social, click-stream, SKU-level sales, digital marketing, weather, economic -Proven ability to assess the situation quickly, including identifying and resolving data anomalies and inconsistencies, and develop practical problem-solving strategies. -Strong intellectual curiosity and love of problem-solving with a passion for getting involved to drive action for direct impact on business outcomes. -Strong communication skills written, verbal, and presentation -Proven ability to communicate the key messages and develop a storyline from analytical project work to a non-technical audience. -Experience with SAS, R, Python, Tableau, SQL, Hadoop, Spark -Experience with advanced statistical analyses such as Regression, ANOVA, Analysis of Covariance, Repeated Measures, Decision Trees, Time Series, and Clustering. -Experience with Applied Predictive Technologies (APT) software. -Experience with Data Visualization software such as Tableau. -Strong Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint -Experience with a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company or retailer BENEFITS AND PERKS: At Hallmark, we help people feel connected to what matters.
