The Workers Compensation Administrative Assistant position provides
assistance to the existing WC Coordinators in an administrative capacity
and will act as a back-up during vacations or other time away to provide
technical workers compensation oversight to Harbor Freight Tools (HFT)
locations across the United States. While in training and when acting in
a back-up role, this position will work with employees and third party
vendors to make certain that workers compensation claims are being
handled in accordance with state laws and HFT company policies and
procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Reviews Illness and
Injury Reports and workers compensation forms for accuracy and
completeness * Responsible for all electronic filing into the WCCMS
Paperless System. * Scanning documents into the WCCMS system. * File and
scan paper mail into either paper files or WCCMS system. * Assisting the
Work Comp Coordinators and Work Comp Supervisor in assigning new stores
to a medical clinic and sending the new stores the clinic posters and
required information for the postings. * Data Entry into the Work Comp L
Drive for all medical refusals. * Date Entry for all recordable claims
into WCCMS in a timely manner. * Assist with the payment ledger data
entry for Drug Testing bills. * Send all closed files to Iron Mountain.
- Communicates with clinics and health care providers to ensure proper
processing of claims * Works with location management and third party
administrator to successfully return injured worker to work * Works
within a team environment to accomplish departmental goals and company
goals * Monitors and responds to mail and email daily, follows up
appropriately and in a timely matter * Processes medical bills and drug
screen bills * Responsible for administrative functions, including but
not limited to filing, creating and maintaining workers compensation
files, and creating training material * Provides support to WC
Supervisor, WC Coordinators and Director of Safety, Health and Workers
