    Research Assistant Intern (Part Time) Program Positions * Posted: May 7, 2018 * Part-Time * * Redding, CA, United States Heluna Health (HH) and the Vector-Borne Disease Section (VBDS) of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) are recruiting for the position of Research Assistant Intern for VBDS to work approximately 30-40 hours per week. The position begins on June 4, 2018 and ends in September. Employment is provided by Heluna Health (The New PHFE). California has a long-standing comprehensive vector-borne disease surveillance program, including enhanced surveillance for flea-borne diseases, arboviruses, tick-borne diseases, and rodent-borne diseases. This position will work under the guidance of the Supervising Public Health Biologist, Northern Region, Vector-Borne Disease Section and will report to the lead Public Health Biologist. This position will also assist Public Health Biologists in conducting activities relating to the prevention, surveillance, and control of vector-borne diseases in Yosemite and Lassen National Parks and elsewhere as required.
