    Packaging Engineer II( Job Number: AHM00049X) American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Description The Packaging Operations group at American Honda is a team of engineers dedicated to improving the Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Environmental performance of the packaging for all automotive, motorcycle, power equipment, and marine product service parts. As a Packaging Engineer II you will ensure packing is developed and fully approved for all automotive, motorcycle, power equipment, and marine service parts while meeting Quality, Cost, Delivery and Environmental targets. Responsibilities: * Develop competency and commitment of part suppliers in adhering to Honda's service part packaging requirements * Review and develop, qualify, approve, and manage packaging specification and cost for all service parts at assigned part suppliers * Execute multi-functional projects while adhering to timelines to meet desired QCD&E business objectives Qualifications * Bachelors degree in Packaging Science, Business Management or Communications * 3-6 years of working experience with 1-3 years of Packaging Development experience * Demonstrated success implementing industrial packaging solutions into a complex supply chain. * Well versed in packaging materials currently used within the automotive industry; seeks ne technology and trends * Working knowledge of package validation test protocols to simulate specific distribution environments (ISTA/ASTM) * Proven ability to communicate ideas clearly; Empathizes with the audience by presenting complex information in an easily understood manner * Experience with the training and development of others * Aptitude to adapt; learn new skills as necessary * Automotive Supply chain experience preferred American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected factor.
