    We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented high school student to join our IT team as an IT Corporate Service Desk Specialist Intern at our Akron Support Center campus. This internship will provide an opportunity to learn about technical support, customer service, and IT operations in a corporate environment. The IT Corporate Service Desk Specialist Intern will work under the guidance of experienced professionals and will be responsible for assisting with resolving IT-related issues for employees and customers primarily through phone and email channels.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in responding to and resolving IT-related issues for employees and customers, including hardware, software, and network problems, primarily via phone and email channels.
    • Learn how to provide excellent customer service by establishing rapport and building relationships with employees and customers.
    • Observe how to diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, including hardware and software issues, and provide solutions or escalate to higher-level support teams as needed.
    • Learn how to document and track IT-related incidents and service requests using a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and closure of tickets.
    • Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
    • Learn how to educate employees and customers on IT-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Observe how to perform routine IT tasks, including system backups, patch management, and software updates.

    Qualifications:

    • High school student with a strong interest in technology and customer service.
    • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
    • Ability to work independently and manage tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
    • Must provide their own transportation to/from the Akron Support Center campus.
