Signet’s Enterprise Analytics department works with all functions of Signet’s business to use data to provide insights and develop future roadmaps. This position will rotate through each of analytical practices within Signet’s Enterprise Analytics (EA) group including data science, merchandising analysis, real estate & geographic information systems, digital and store operations and will flex to augment teams as projects require. While working with the EA team, this candidate will be exposed to numerous technologies and tools such as cloud computing, Alteryx, Business Objects, SQL, Python, R etc. and will gain first-hand experience in how Signet uses these tools and techniques to drive outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate reports using reporting tools such as Alteryx, Business Objects and SQL

• Update and publish dashboards in Tableau

• Refresh pre-defined analytical/Machine Learning models

• Participate in meetings with business teams to review future forecasts

• Assist in the Market Planning / Real Estate team for real estate development (GIS)

• Develop summary presentations of analysis for business teams

• Perform ad-hoc analysis

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Data Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), business or similar

• Anticipated graduation December 2023-May 2024

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom

• Possess strong motivation and adaptability to learn and understand new concepts

• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

• Technical experience with SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, Tableau, AWS etc. a plus

• Strong communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This is remote opportunity sitting within the Enterprise Analytics Team

• Part-time opportunity (20 hours+/- weekly) over the course of 9-12 months

• Flexible scheduling to accommodate classes

THE SALARY RANGE FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY IS $18.00-$19.50/HOUR. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
