JOB SUMMARY

The IT Service Delivery Internship position will be a part of the Walgreens Information Technology team. Responsible for supporting IT Directors in the areas of application development, infrastructure and cloud computing, digital programs and security. This position will provide the intern visibility into multiple technology domains as well as an opportunity to interact with key individuals in the pharmacy and/or retail businesses. In this position, the candidate will have the opportunity to demonstrate and develop technical skills within an innovative, complex and high transaction volume technical environment while learning about the retail and healthcare businesses. Project work will differ in each area depending on business needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• IT Service Management Metrics analysis, generate insights for critical ticket escalations
• Correlate IT Service Level metrics from various vendors
• Facilitate methodology development for measuring quality and service level compliance
• Help prepare support documentation for executive updates on IT Service Delivery metrics
• Liaise with TCS and other support vendors for recurring leadership updates on service delivery quality

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Communication, written and verbal. Office skills (Powerpoint, Excel)
• Basic analytical skills (spreadsheet-based analysis, pivot tables, graphing and reporting)
• Problem Solving skills. ability to extrapolate insights from combining incomplete data sets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Programming, Scripting or Macro development skills preferred
• Enrolled in a CS, CSE or CE Bachelors degree program
• Has leadership experience in a team, club or organization setting
