    INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:

    Get an insider view of the fast-changing grocery retail industry, while developing leadership skills and business knowledge to enhance your career.     DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

    The Retail Innovation Center of Excellence leverages innovation to speed up the delivery of in-store digital and technology solutions that can be offered to Ahold Delhaize USA’s local brands, delivering on omnichannel ambitions to serve the Connected Customer.  

    PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    • Work as part of the team which identifies prioritized opportunities for the Retail Innovation Center of Excellence (RI CoE) to pursue. Work to create opportunity heat maps to help identify areas of opportunity or pain points where greatest value to brands can be delivered. The early analysis done on potential initiatives will influence which projects the RI CoE prioritizes, as well as inform budgets and targets for initiatives and the RI CoE. 

    • Support Initiative Teams in providing access to data as needed to inform design decisions and to update total business value of in-flight initiatives as testing/pilot results are collected. 

    • Develop evaluation criteria and quantifiable critical success factors for pilots by defining hypotheses of what must be proved to believe the value case. 

    • Analyze ADUSA data and perform benchmarking activities (both internal across our Brands, and external vs. peer companies) to highlight opportunities for innovation and opportunities to share best practices. 

    • Work with ADUSA Data Engineering, Data Scientists, and AI teams to find opportunity areas

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Working towards a degree in Management, Business, Computer Science or related field.  

    • Experience working in a collaborative group setting   

    • Experience using analytical thinking and problem-solving skills   

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, appropriately and effectively   

    • Proficient to advanced experience with MS Suite
