  • Responsibilities

    About the Role

    As an Inventory Analyst Intern, you will use qualitative and quantitative data to recommend the inventory level to send to each location to support what customers want and when they want it. You will determine the inventory deployment strategy to get products to the right place at the right time to maximize sales, best leverage inventory ownership, and minimize shipping costs.

    What You’ll Do

    ● Develop strong relationships with vendors to ensure complete and timely shipment and delivery to stores

    ● Analyze sales data to identify trends in product movement, distinguishing top-performing items and areas for improvement

    ● Learn about allocation and localization

    ● Provide monthly size selling and monthly climate and location selling recaps

    ● Analyze store inventory management reports to make inventory allocation strategy recommendations and ensure a healthy and profitable inventory stock position

    ● Analyze omni channel reports to ensure optimal inventory ownership across fulfillment networks and minimize the cost of shipping

    ● Observe and assist Inventory Analysts in making strategic inventory deployment strategies

    ● Network with other interns participating in Kohl’s internship program

    ● Participate in various company, department, and intern events

    ● Additional tasks may be assigned

    What Skills You Have

    Required

    ● Undergraduate Junior

    ● Experience creating, analyzing and manipulating spreadsheets

    ● Analytical mindset

    ● Adept attention to detail and excellent multitasking abilities

    ● Passion for products and customer obsession
