Bakery Sanitation Assistant Katella Delicatessen | Rothman Food Group - Los Alamitos, CA 90720 Reports to: Bakery Manager and Sanitation Supervisor Job Scope: The Sanitation Assistant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for the Bakery area, Bakery equipment and Bakery utensils. This position also re-stocks necessary supplies and ingredients along with disposing of trash and logging sanitation procedures. Following proper Bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards. Responsibilities: * Cleans and sanitizes the Bakery area. Sweeps, mops, sprays, washes, applies cleaning agents, wipes, and operated pressure washer. Cleans and refills mop bucket. Cleans mop-head. Follows Bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards. * Dismantles bakery equipment. Washes, rinses, and sanitizes removable parts. Wipes down stationary parts. * Washes bakery containers and utensils. Re-stocks baking supplies and industrial-size containers of ingredients. * Logs sanitation procedures performed on daily report and complies with health codes. Reads labels for proper use and precaution of cleaning products.

• Must notify supervisor or manager anytime bakery tool / machine breaks and requires repair or replacement. * Other duties as directed. Physical Requirements & Qualifications: * Require high school education or equivalency. * 1-year minimum of previous food sanitation experience preferred. * AIB Food Sanitation and Hygiene certificate preferred. * Must be able to work independently. * Must have a basic knowledge of all types of sanitation equipment. * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. * Must be able to reach overhead. * Must be able to bend, twist, turn, climb, and crawl. * Must be able to work with chemicals. * Must be able to work with water temperatures of an excess of 160 deg. * Must be able to work with high-pressure pumps. * Must be able to scrub for 6 hours. * Must be able to work on feet for 7 hours.
