Job Description
Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a Customer Service Order Specialist in our Administrative Services Department for our Columbus, OH location. We are looking for a detail-oriented, motivated, and customer focused individual.
Our Customer Service Order Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for providing excellent customer service for sales reps, customers and internal staff
- Performs the maintenance on all orders held in the maintenance queue quickly and accurately
- Responsible for the order entry and/or invoicing for special accounts specifically assigned to you
- Backs up reviewing all sales orders that print to the department before forwarding them to the warehouse. Prints, matches, and highlights messages on sales orders, as needed. Maintains accurate count of orders sent to the warehouse
- Backs up processing daily requests for bin labels, drawer front tags or lid charts to ship with the sales orders
- Any month end reports are completed the next business day after month end. Any daily or weekly reports/logs are completely up to date before the end of the last business day of each month
- Responds to all voicemails and emails received during work hours the same day
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned directly by the Administrative Services Manager, Assistant Manager, Training Supervisor, or Program Supervisor and gives these projects priority and completes these assignments accurately and on time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- This position requires a high school diploma, or equivalent
- This position requires some prior clerical experience
- This position requires some computer knowledge
- This position requires excellent name/number perception skills and organizational skills
- This position requires customer service experience
- This position will require a strong knowledge of the Kimball-Midwest product line and sales program
- This position will sometimes require the ability to perform several tasks simultaneously
- This position requires the ability to respond quickly to problems, and the ability to work well in a fast paced environment
- This position requires the ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers in both written and verbal form
- This position requires the ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions
- This position requires a person who is dependable (i.e. reports to work daily, barring any unforeseen circumstances)
- This position requires the ability to identify, outline and implement process improvements

The hours are 11:00am-7:30pm, Monday- Friday
