THD Customer Service - 1st shift Customer Service Representative - Part Time Company Name: Turkey Hill Dairy Position Type: Employee FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary: The Customer Service Representative is responsible for performing the duties associated with the receipt and processing of wholesale orders. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. Essential Job Functions: * Monitor the inventory and generate orders for items designated for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) with the Turkey Hill Minit Markets. This includes adjusting computer-generated orders and changing customer averages when necessary. * Receive incoming and places outgoing telephone calls for wholesale accounts and orders. * Responsible for data entry of all wholesale account orders. * Forward all orders to correct departments to ensure proper delivery. * Prepare paperwork and files to ensure delivery to proper location for processing and loading of deliveries. * Responsible for accurate data entry of all information and accurate communications with customers. * Responsible for maintaining excellent customer relations. * Enter and process orders from Direct Store Delivery (DSD) accounts on a daily basis. * Responsible to audit every order for accuracy. * Process and file distribution related paperwork. * Perform relief duties for all DSD Customer Service Specialists duties as necessary. * Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines * Demonstrates knowledge of continuous improvement and lean methodology. * Works effectively with department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer. * Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. * Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems. * Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles. * Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum Position Qualifications: * Must be at least 18 years of age. * High School Diploma or GED equivalent. * Must have PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. * Ability to communicate effectively. Desired Previous Job Experience * 2 -3 years of customer service or data entry experience.
