Human Resources Coordinator - Bilingual La Michoacana Meat Market - Houston, TX 77055 Job Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support and assists to carry out various HR programs and procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, process the new hires, administrative duties, employee injuries, and compliance with the law. Major Duties and Responsibilities: * Supports Store Managers on the onboarding process ensuring the hiring packet is completed correctly. * Responsible for the hiring and re-hiring process and updates HRIS system with new documents. * Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains that they are current. * Assists on I-9 audit following Company policies/procedures, and labor laws. * Re verifies Employment Authorization Cards of active employees when they expire. * Administrates employee injuries claims with reports and invoices. * Prepares OSHA 300 and 300A logs for stores on ADP monthly. * Prepares 1095 forms for store employees. * Supports the Human Resources department on any activities and works closely with the Manager to successfully meet the goals. * Performs other related duties as required or assigned. Qualifications and Skills Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Personal Characteristics: * Basic knowledge of State and Federal labor laws. * Ability to resolve conflicts, problem-solve and thoroughly investigate sensitive employee issues. * Flexibility, adaptability, integrity, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet and exceed deadlines. * Ability to demonstrate judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information. * Ability to meet and deal with a wide variety of audiences. * Ability to present and impart knowledge via training. * Well organized. * Customer service centric. * Ability to multitask and prioritize. * Excellent communications skills. Minimum Qualifications: * Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred. * Bilingual English/Spanish is required. * 2+ years of experience in human resources functions is required. * Strong attention to detail, must be able to use independent judgment and remain extremely confidential. * Experience using ADP Workforce Now system is a plus. * Proven experience in the human resources department. * Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices. * Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, in particular) * Payroll experience is a must.
