Our client, a Leading Media and Entertainment Company, is seeking a Financial Analyst in their Chicago location.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, operational management or 7+ years in Finance or Finance related experience -Minimum 2 years of work experience in finance, public accounting or operations -Strong excel skills with the ability to do pivot tables and advanced formulas
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS: -MBA or other Master's degree in Business, Finance or Operations, preferred -Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to write and speak effectively -Ability read, interpret and apply union contracts accordingly -Working knowledge of finance and scheduling systems -Strong aptitude for complex problem solving and an ability to identify and implement process improvement and change management -Superior organizational skills -Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with accuracy -Analytical mindset with an ability to drive results based on analysis -Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to influence and lead change -Past work experience in the Media industry or broadcast environment, preferred -Strong desire to grow in career and assume additional responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES: -Partner with the managers of the operating groups to ensure schedule feasibility and reliability -Responsible for preparing and evaluating weekly reports of key operational and financial metrics including overtime, vacation/sick/personal days, fees and utilization efficiency -Develop, design and evaluate models for business process improvements to be shared with senior and operational management. -Work directly with the finance department on forecasting, tracking, and analyzing payroll expenses -Responsibility for developing a plan with the operational managers to provide employees their schedule further into the future along with other operational improvements -Handle numerous ad hoc projects and report requests
