Our client, a leading global bank with one of the largest customer bases abroad and in Asia is seeking a Compliance Analyst in their midtown Manhattan location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Collecting and managing compliance-related reports from the U .S. subsidiaries to the U.S. bank holding company on a monthly and ad hoc basis
2. Preparing materials for monthly U .S. bank holding company compliance and legal committee and quarterly Board of Directors' meetings
3. Receiving official circulars from the parent company in Japan and further issuing to U.S. subsidiaries of the U.S. bank holding company
4. Supporting the regulatory issues management process by managing input of regulatory examination data
5. Preparing reports on a quarterly and annual basis from the Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Legal Officer to the Board of Directors of the U.S. bank holding company
6. Preparing reports on a periodic basis from the Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Legal Officer to the top level holding company in Japan.
7. Preparing compliance, regulatory, and legal materials for non-financial risk committee meetings
8. Providing administrative assistance, as needed, including booking conference rooms, scheduling meetings, and project management support

SKILLS

• 5-7 years of experience in the compliance department of a large U.S. bank or large U.S. office of a foreign bank would be welcome
• Prior experience at a U.S. holding company level of a foreign bank, at a U.S. broker- dealer/investment banking subsidiary of a foreign bank, or a consultant firm would also be welcome
• Detail-oriented and thorough
• Time management and multitasking skills required
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint , required

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Required
