About the Role:
Join Ace Hardware & Home Center as a Lumber Yard & Delivery Associate, where you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive the best quality lumber and materials. Responsibilities:
Assist customers in selecting and loading lumber and materials for their projects.
Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and organize inventory safely.
Prepare and deliver orders to customers in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain a clean and organized lumber yard and delivery area.
Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any inquiries or issues.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in lumber or construction preferred.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely.
Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Basic math skills for inventory management and order fulfillment.
Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
