Analyst I, Virtualization Delivery & Support Job Overview: Provides 24 x 7 support role at Macys Technology to maintain stability of Virtual Infrastructure solutions from VMware, including vSphere Infrastructure and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure for continuous delivery. Monitor vSphere infrastructure and Virtual Desktop infrastructure. Monitor and Manage support cases. Participate in support calls for Virtual infrastructure and Virtual Desktop infrastructure. Attends meetings to understand customer requirements, due diligence and presentation sessions. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Functions: Responsible for day to day operation and support of VMWare Infrastructure. Responsible for support cases and participate in support calls. Participates in monitoring and care and feed Virtual infrastructure and servers. Review performance reports and stability data analyzed by the team for capacity planning purposes. Responsible to monitor vSphere and VDI infrastructure. Review monitoring of vSphere infrastructure and VDI environments. Review supporting processes and documentation to manage VDI environment. Responsible to keep management well informed on a timely basis of progress, status and/or concerns for each assignment, communicates clearly and effectively with senior management on technical issues, coordinating with appropriate management personnel in implementing changes. Must be able to determine when and how to escalate issues with Management. Familiarity with monitoring tools like vRealize Operation Manager. Consistently demonstrates regular, dependable attendance & punctuality. Qualifications: ** ** **Education/Experience: ** ** ** Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering degree and 1+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 1 to 2 years hands on experience in managing Microsoft Active Directory environments. Familiarity with different operating system like Windows and Linux operating system. Experience with networking concepts including Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name Service (DNS), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Ability to troubleshoot and analyze Server, network and storage related performance issues. Experience in Virtual Machine Deployment, experience in updating VMware Tools, experience with different types of storage, experience in migrating large numbers of virtual servers to new SAN arrays without impacting users, experience in configuring VMware clusters for ease of management. Ability to perform VMware Admin tasks independently. Be able to create and deploy VDI Pools and deploy update to VDI Pools. Experience using monitoring tools for Virtualization infrastructure. **Communication Skills: ** ** ** Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
