    Merchandise Analyst Trainee is a full time position starting with 10 weeks of training. At Kohl’s we believe in setting all our associates up for success. So you will start your Analyst role with a mix of in classroom and on the job training. You will also be paired with a Trainer, a current Analyst that will help you learn the ins and the outs of the Analyst role.

    As a Analyst your will be working in one of our Corporate Buying Offices. Each Buying Office consists of a team that is in charge of running (buying, pricing, marketing, inventory allocation, etc.) a category of business within Kohl’s. Your job as the Analyst is to Allocate inventory to the right location at the right time.

    You will be responsible for:

    Allocation of inventory by channel to drive sales, deliver turnover targets and maintain high service levels for the customer.

    • The Real Deal: We need you to show up every single day wearing your best “I’m super into Analytics!” hat so that you can know exactly how to pull and interpret data in ways that help us understand our customers!

    Analyze omni sales results, identify trends for future strategies and review newness within the assortment to capitalize on customer trends

    • The Real Deal: In this role, we will rely on you to be smart and to know your business better than anyone else by being obsessed with the performance of the category that you manage.

    Cross functional collaboration

    • The Real Deal: We expect you to be nice. You will be expected to build and foster / nurture great relationships both internally and externally which in turn helps us to have one of the greatest cultures in the industry.

    Tracks Purchase Order status to ensure merchandise is shipped accurately and timely

    • The Real Deal: You will need to be at the tip top of your game when it comes to organization and follow through on orders placed through our Buying office. You will share a responsibility to make sure product gets in store on time, so we can’t ever afford for you to have a “case of the Mondays”.

    Manages Omni projection analysis, highlights inventory concern, and delivers inventory recommendations to the team

    About you:

    • Strong analytical, problem solving and prioritization skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
    • Self-starter, takes initiative to challenge status quo
    • Enjoy working in a fast paced, team environment that is constantly changing
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • Bachelor’s Degree
