    Job Description

    Merkle is looking for an accomplished Sr. Visual Designer to join our Boston-based creative community. As a Sr. Visual Designer, you'll create designs that solve complex business and user problems using a human-centric approach. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will work daily with a team of visual designers, user experience designers, content strategists, and copywriters to establish design requirements and craft layouts and design system components while helping guide design assets from creation to development.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of experience or equivalent experience as a visual designer or product designer
    • Background with UI composition, grid systems, typography color, iconography, use of photography
    • Thorough communication and design rationale abilities 
    • Experience with interaction design and usability/accessibility
    • Proficiency and skills in design/prototyping software, such as Figma, Sketch, InVision and Zeplin
    • Participation in creating and scaling design systems across responsive web and native apps
    • Practice working with UX designers, business analysts, and front-end development teams
    • Experience in Consumer Products, Retail, or Financial Services is a bonus
    • Working knowledge of front-end architecture, motion graphics, and animation is a significant bonus

    Additional Information

    FOR INDIVIDUALS ASSIGNED TO AND/OR HIRED IN COLORADO, THE ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE FOR THIS POSITION IS $70,000 - $90,000, WHICH IS BASED ON A WIDE RANGE OF FACTORS THAT INCLUDE RELEVANT EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATIONS. PAY RANGES IN LOCATIONS OTHER THAN COLORADO MAY DIFFER BASED ON LABOR MARKET WAGE RATES IN THOSE LOCATIONS.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
