Job Description
The Email Developer consults on, codes, and troubleshoots HTML email messages and related content to support the digital marketing programs of our clients.
Responsibilities:
Develop complex and customized HTML email code that follows industry best practices and brand guidelines, and matches the original creative design. Additional code-related responsibilities include:
Consult on technical capabilities and considerations
Perform quality checks and peer reviews
Scripting for dynamic content, personalization, and segmentation
Manage HTML content and related assets within clients' email platforms
Work with email account production managers to coordinate campaign assets
Display skills to address and solve technical problems that arise
Keep up with industry standards, innovations, and new best practices in email marketing
Maintain basic knowledge of data as it relates to HTML code, to help troubleshoot important list errors
Provide career mentoring for junior email developers
Be a point of escalation for junior email developers on the team
Support Lead Developers and other internal team leaders to manage escalations and resolve issues
Prioritize quality and accuracy in everything you do
Follow standard operating procedures and client checklists
Use self-auditing processes and techniques
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS
Experience in responsive design is required
Experience with email platform limitations and code fixes/hacks to resolve (e.g., SFMC, Adobe Campaign, Oracle Responsys)
Experience with platform-specific scripting languages like JavaScript or Ampscript
Train others on the technical aspects of email development
Conceptualize and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Connect with internal and external teams to increase trust and value for our clients
Manage production-related administrative tasks as assigned
Change and update existing email templates to adjust for latest industry trends and techniques
Develop internal email best practices guides and HTML repositories

Additional Information
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $68,000-$80,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
