    SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:

    This position provides knowledge about automotive and industrial paint, features, and benefits to our retail and wholesale paint customers. The PBE Specialist position is primarily responsible for filling paint, body, and equipment (PBE) orders, maintaining inventory, visiting paint customers, maintaining customer relations, making sales calls, and taking weekly/periodic stock orders on customer premises. This position is a key contact point with contracted wholesale PBE customers and is accountable for punctual, accurate deliveries, ensuring invoice accuracy, keeping accurate records, and providing excellent, courteous service in a precise but friendly manner.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Position may include additional functions not listed.)*

    Assist our retail and wholesale customers with their paint, body, and equipment needs.

    Assist with product delivery and ensure correct materials and paints are delivered to the correct destination.

    Visit contracted paint clients to take stock orders, check on service, and maintain relationships.

    Provides custom matching, tinting, and mixing as required for wholesale and retail customers.

    Assist with identifying new prospects and sell NAPA’s PBE services throughout the market area.

    Address customer sales/service questions and problems and build long-term relationships with our customers.

    Assist team members when working with customers or finding desired products.

    Working towards continuous improvement with our in-store processes and procedures.

    Assist with inspecting, protecting, and maintaining company assets, merchandise, vehicles, and building.

    Assists with checking in stock orders and stocking products on the shelves.

    Assists with general store cleanliness, straightening, and inventory as required.

    Know where contracted clients are located and key contacts on site to provide timely, accurate delivery.

    Strive to improve technical and product knowledge.

    Attend store meetings, seminars, and clinics when appropriate.

    Perform other assignments and duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS: (Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.)

    Valid Driver’s License required. Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet driving requirements set by Dyna Parts.

    Previous retail experience preferred.

    High school diploma, or equivalent, required.

    Capable of operating TAMS point-of-sale system and cataloging.

    Ability to process cash, check, and credit card transactions.

    Capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers (both visually and aurally) and remembering their sequence.

    Excellent attention to detail, accuracy; has a sense of urgency, as well as the ability to multi-task and is self-motivated.

    Proficient understanding/adherence to Dyna Parts’ standard operating procedures.

    Sound decision making capability; routine people/leadership skills.

    PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    Capable of lifting and moving merchandise of up to 60 pounds.

    Ability to move engine blocks, core barrels, and other heavy equipment using moving aids designed to move such items, including hand trucks, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc.

    Ability to bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary.

    Ability to stand and walk for entire work shift.

    Ability to speak clearly, listen attentively, and understand others as well as ability to give and receive instructions via telephone, computer messages, face-to-face, and in writing.
