The Outside Sale Rep is responsible for promoting all NAPA products and service lines in an assigned multi-store region to increase sales and market penetration by generating new accounts and greater sales through existing accounts. A person in this position is a resource dedicated to revenue growth, customer expansion, and deeper market penetration in a manner that establishes NAPA as the premier auto parts supplier in the region.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordinates outside sales activities among multiple stores.
Maintains a comprehensive market development and expansion plan.
Monitors store and region sales performance on a daily, weekly, monthly and year to date basis.
Works with Store and Regional Manager to identify, develop, and maintain new and existing accounts.
Identifies new customers and revenue opportunities for multiple stores, and implements strategies and initiatives to take advantage of those opportunities.
Builds a strong relationship with the store teams to help consistently deliver high levels of customer service and business results.
Partners with customers to promote their business by offering training on various topics.
Assist or lead in various promotions at stores or on customer premises.
Maintains accurate files of all market data and customer contacts.
Performs other assignments and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: (Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.)
Valid Driver’s License required. Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet driving requirements set by Dyna Parts.
Previous sales experience and/or education preferred.
High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
Capable of operating TAMS point-of-sale system and cataloging.
Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with people.
Capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers (both visually and aurally) and remembering their sequence.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy as well as ability to multi-task and is self-motivated.
PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Capable of lifting and moving merchandise of up to 60 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for entire work shift.
Ability to bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves with use of stool or ladder when necessary.
Ability to speak clearly, listen attentively.
