We are currently looking for an Electrical Component Design Engineer to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Responsibilities of a successful candidate include design, release, and support of electronic components within a vehicle system, through all stages of the vehicle life cycle.nbsp; Job functions include but are not limited to * The employee will be responsible for project management of electronic modules to achieve program cost, quality, development timing, and delivery timing targets. * Identify key performance attributes and feature requirements to be adopted to Nissan products to maximize the HMI/GUI ease of use. * This includes leading cross-functional teams to implement design and manufacturing changes, and managing QCTT of suppliers for responsible parts. * The electrical department is responsible for components such as airbag control units, parking aid systems, and power distribution modules. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline). * Minimum of 1-2 years of directly related professional experience within the automotive industry. * Automotive Electrical/Electronic system or component design experience.

    • Knowledge of product development process and warranty analysis (desired). * Computer skills:nbsp; Microsoft Office tools, basic CAD skills (desired). * Ability to travel to Japan 2-3 times per year and to regional sites (AZ, TN, Canada, Mexico) 4-5 times per year.
