Job Title: Financial Analyst Position Summary: The Financial Analyst will assist the Sr. Analyst & Finance Manager with weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue reporting which will include detailed sales analysis of the divisions results as compared to budgets, forecasts and prior years. The role will work closely with the finance team and key business partners to assist in the creation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. The role will assist with projects evaluating profitability and strategy. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities: -Work closely with the Sr. Analyst & Finance Manager to establish standard processes for reporting sales performance -Partner with sales team and assist in developing the annual operating budget and quarterly forecasts -Assist with comparing and analyzing actual sales results with prior year, budget and forecasts. -Develop detailed monthly sales analyses by customer, channel and item. -Assist in the development of value-added financial analysis for use by the organization to improve overall results. This includes customer profitability, product profitability and SKU profitability analyses. -Develop full understanding of customer programs and discounts. -Analyze a wide variety of data to identify opportunities to improve forecasting methods, including performance monitoring and reporting against expectations, trend analysis, and forecasts -Work with the Finance Manager to deliver financial statements and supplemental reporting to the Director of FP&A and CFO. -Learn functionality of all internal reporting systems in order to provide strategic analysis to Management -Ad-hoc reporting for corporate and special projects as assigned Candidate Requirements: -Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics from an accredited College or University required; MBA preferred -2-5 years' relevant work experience with a minimum of 2 years in a Financial Analysis role -A minimum of intermediate proficiency with Excel required; advanced proficiency with Excel highly preferred -A minimum of intermediate ability with Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Word, Outlook) required -High concern for detail and accuracy with an understanding of Corporate finance preferred -Demonstrated Budgeting & Forecasting experience preferred -Hyperion (HFM) experience highly preferred -Ability to learn new skills and adapt to change in a fast paced environment -Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice -Typical office environment with shelves, overhead and above work surfaces About the Company -Novolex is North Americas leader in packaging choice and sustainability. -Novolex is headquartered in Hartsville, SC and has 62 facilities around the globe, including the worlds largest closed loop plastic bag recycling plant located in Indiana.
